Sunlight-readable displays

Outdoor readability depends on more than backlight brightness. Transflective optical designs use ambient light, while higher-output backlights can support other environments. Validate either approach with the cover lens, viewing angle and real lighting conditions.

Budget backlight current and heat dissipation at your chosen operating brightness.

Confirm temperature, humidity, UV exposure and enclosure protection; an outdoor catalog grouping is not an environmental rating.
